Jim O'Brien, P.E., CFM is the president and founder of O'Brien Engineering, Inc. He has 30 years of experience in civil engineering, most of which has been focused in the Southwest region, specifically Texas. Mr. O'Brien has conducted hydrologic and hydraulic analyses on numerous tributaries, creeks and rivers, including the Elm Fork and Grapevine Creek for portions of Valley Ranch, flood control simulation on the upper 1800 square miles of the West Fork, and flood evaluation on a 200,000-acre sub-basin of the Nile, north of Khartoum, Sudan.

Mr. O'Brien has prepared many flood studies, floodplain management reports, and flood and drainage evaluations. He has served as an expert witness on more than three dozen drainage and flooding cases on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.Contact Mr. O'Brien.
